   With todays economy the way it is, it's very important to get the biggest "bang for your buck" when it comes to sprucing up your home.  It's difficult to choose what projects to do that will give you the biggest return on your investment, yet not break the bank.

   When it comes to kitchens and baths, the two most costly projects, it isn't necessary to completely gut them if the core elements such as cabinetry are still in good shape. It's amazing what simply upgrading the counter top and cabinet hardware will do to revive these rooms!

   An average kitchen remodel from the ground up can start at 10k and go as high as 30k. Baths can range from 5-10k.  Whereas just simply replacing the kitchen counter top to a higher end quartz or granite, with an average square footage of 40sqft will be in the $2600 range depending on color choice with new hardware coming in around $100. Throw in a new sink and faucet and you are still ahead of the game while making a huge impact.

   All solid surface and stone product prices usually include installation but not tear out of your old tops, so you can save yourself even more by doing some of the work yourself like the tear out and plumbing work.
